The national team attended the world Summer Games in Dublin , Ireland and Belfast, Northern Ireland. They returned with the largest harvest of 22 medals ( 11 Gold, 7 Silver and 4 Bronze )
Health interventions:
- SOU has held three health screening events to date. The first was held in December 2011 at the Makerere University grounds, the second in June 2012 in Kamwenge (western region) and the third in July 2013 in Jinja (eastern region).
Sports events for the Young athletes program:
- 2010. SOU is training young athletes and encouraging families with PWIDs to involve their members. So far this has been done in Central and eastern region and November 2010
- SOU has an established leadership training for athletes that has been running since 2011. To date, SOU has trained 45 athlete leaders under the Athlete Leadership Program (ALPs)
